This North Campus Expansion consists of four (4) office buildings. Building A is 220,544 sq.ft., 3 levels; Building D is 250,600 sq.ft., 4 levels; Building E is 196,329 sq.ft., 3 levels; and Building F is 252,187 sq.ft., 4 levels. A 28,347 Family Center is also included in this expansion. The campus has a corporate cafeteria, fitness center, outdoor activity center and large corporate conference/exhibit area located in various buildings.
JCPenney Company, Inc.
This 1,925,000 sq. ft., 3 level campus contains multiple offices, a 1,600-seat employee cafeteria, training areas, fitness club, child care, 1,000-seat conference center and a 4,500-car above grade parking garage. The facility also contains an Ice Thermal Storage System to reduce energy costs by operating mechanical equipment during off-peak hours.
This 268,000 sq.ft., 3 level building encloses a mostly open cubicle office plan along with employee amenities, including kitchen, cafeteria and dining facility, fitness center, daycare center, an executive office suite and a raised-floor data processing area. Trane on-floor, water-cooled air conditioning units, four per floor, with a roof-mounted open cooling tower provide air conditioning to the facility. An emergency generator system provides back-up power to the entire facility.
This 625,000 sq. ft., 4 floor Corporate Office Building has multiple offices, employee cafeteria, training rooms, fitness center and a 2,400-car, 5 level parking garage. The facility incorporates an under floor air distribution system to accommondate a flexible interior layout. Phase I is part of a 314-acre masterplan for the continual development of the campus.
Electronic Data Systems (EDS)
This 1,600,000 sq. ft., 9 building corporate campus contains multiple offices, command and control/operations, employee cafeteria, fitness center and (2) 4,000 car parking garages. The facility is designed with a 16,640-ton Ice Thermal Storage system for reduction of utility costs during “peak” hours of operation.
Dell Computer Corporation
Round Rock, Texas
These additional buildings to the main corporate campus consist of two 226,000 sq. ft., 3 floor office buildings (RR7 and RR8), and a 336,000 sq. ft., 3 floor office building (RR5). All buildings employ an underfloor air distribution system that alows for reduced energy costs and greater space planning flexibility within the facility.
This 150,000 sq. ft. 3 floor new global headquarters building contains enclosed executive offices, open office area, cafeteria, kitchen/servery and a 5,000 sq. ft. data center. There is a 150,000 sq. ft., 2 floor below grade parking garage as well as surface parking.
Countrywide Home Loans, Inc.
This 416,436 sq.ft. office building complex, located on 24 acres at 1000 Coit Road in Plano, Texas, includes 180,000 sq.ft. of office space, a 162,000 sq.ft. Data Center and 52,000 sq.ft. of lab space, as well as a warehouse and full-service cafeteria. This remarkable building features concrete floors; 30′ x 40′ column spacing; insulated precast panel walls; ceiling heights to 24′ clear; all utilities; five 2.25 megawatt diesel generators provide complete power redundancy; pre-action sprinklers; two redundant central HVAC plants and redundant electrical distribution; twelve loading docks with levelers, one ramp; multiple lab and testing areas, office call center, full cafeteria and 50,000 sq.ft. of data center with full expansion capability of a total of 150,000 sq. ft.
Corgan Office Building
This 60,000 sq.ft., 3-level corporate headquarters was the first new construction in the historic district in more than 10 years. The headquarters was awarded LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The building was designed with a pair of VAV water-cooled vertical self-contained units, one serving the west half of the building and one serving the east half. They were supplied with condenser water from two roof-mounted low-profile centrifugal forced-draft cooling towers on a variable flow loop. Each self-contained unit supplied a medium pressure duct distribution system to variable volume fan-powered boxes with electric heat.
Citigroup – DFW R.E. Strategy
This 625,000 sq.ft. corporate headquarters campus consists of (3) 3-level office buildings for 5,000 plus employees with surface parking for approximately 3,900 vehicles on 43 acres. Building amenities include dining services, a training facility, and a fitness center. All three buildings are served from a Central Plant.
American Stores Company
Salt Lake City, Utah
This 620,000 sq. ft., 24 level office building has multiple two and four story atria. Life safety systems provide separate smoke control for each atrium from dampered supply air and exhaust shafts. Automatic door operation isolates respective floors (with their separate smoke removal systems) from each atrium. Two pad heliport on top of building has AFF fire suppression. In addition to atrium entrance lobby, retail lease spaces are located on the first floor.

This 625,000 sq. ft. addition at the United Services Automobile Association headquarters was accompanied by a 150,000 sq. ft. computer center. New central plant serves both facilities and is expandable to accommodate future additions.
